Our Story 

Our company originally began when our CEO, Byron Dixon OBE, a qualified chemist, designed a solution for footwear going mouldy in transit. It grew quickly when the technology was able to be applied to textiles, leather, and various other products. 

 

With his personal experience of growing up in social housing, Byron then began to explore the possibility and benefits of bringing the technology into housing and construction environments. This led to the inception of Home-Fresh® with research beginning in 2016. The company received significant grant funding to test the mould and mildew prevention product extensively with the HSE who carried out independent testing on the technology and confirmed its efficacy. From there, further independent testing was carried out by Aston University. The testing demonstrated zero mould growth during the trial. At the time, the project had to be set aside due to the growing demands of other aspects of the business. 

 

Now Home-Fresh® is being reintroduced as the company recognizes the national need of a mould solution for buildings and creating a safer environment for residents, especially in areas of high condensation, poor ventilation, high humidity or damp - like kitchens or bathrooms. Home-Fresh® is working to make an impact on an issue affecting a huge number of people in the UK and beyond.
